Currently in Seoul, South Korea, Canadian-born Eshe began belly dancing in Tokyo, Japan in 2002. She lived there until 2007 and during that time was featured in Japan's oldest English newspaper, The Japan Times as well as Smashing Mag. Career highlights include performing for crowds of bellydance enthusiasts at Japan's national belly dance festival-Maharajan and appearing on the television show Zubari Iuwayo! with pop superstars the KinKi Kids and Grand Sumo Champion Asashoryu.
While in Japan, Eshe taught weekly classes at world renowned Devadasi Studio. She continues to teach workshops at Devadasi when she visits Japan.
In September 2006 Eshe auditioned and was accepted as a member of P.U.R.E. Tokyo. P.U.R.E. stands for Public Urban Ritual Experiment. P.U.R.E. chapters can be found around the world. P.U.R.E. aims to spread healing and peace through music and dance. The Tokyo group has sponsored scholarships for underprivileged children in southeast Asia. In recent months she's also been written about in print in Hawaiian Belly Dancer magazine and the Ancaster News Journal as well as online at Orientaldancer.net.
A dedicated traveller, in the past year Eshe has performed in Canada, Japan, Egypt and Korea. Her events were twice honored by entertainment guides in 2007. Monkeybiz in Canada and Hyptyo in Japan both selected Eshe's shows as must-see performances.
In September 2007 she studied intensively with the top instructor in Cairo, Egypt Raqia Hassan. During her month there she was even filmed for a segment airing on Business News television.
